Love is in the air. Or should I say hair? That's right it's our favorite time of the year.
For most of us, this is the time where we get to be a little closer to our loved ones and for others, the dreadful time where we remember how single we are. But I'm here to lighten up your mood a little bit for this upcoming Valentine's Day season.
Whether you’re having dinner with Bae, hanging out with friends, or watching The notebook for the 37th time on your couch, I’m here to give you seven awesome hairstyles and outfits that you can rock this Valentine’s Day.

Hairstyles
Sexy, Sleek, Slicked Back Hair
Now, this look is a killer.
If you’re going out with friends, bae, or by yourself you are sure to grab everyone's attention with this hairstyle. Slicked back hair exudes a level of confidence and classiness, the reason being that the hair is off of your face.
What's great about the style is that it works on many hair types. You've just got to be bold and confident enough to pull it off so, don't be afraid to give it a try.
Get The Look
All you'll need is some hair gel and water for this style.
You want to make sure you wet the sides and top of your hair with water, once it is damp enough begin to add hair styling gel. When adding gel be sure to brush back to prevent the gel build up on top of your hair.
If you're not a big fan of hair gel, you can also attain this look by using bobby pins, hair clips, and a little texture or holding spray. Use your holding spray on your hair; it does not have to be a generous amount. Now, grab a brush and use it while blow-drying your hair in an up motion to create volume.
Make sure to blow-dry the sides of your hair as well and smooth them to the back of your head.
Now if your hair still isn't smooth or straight enough you can use a mini flat iron to make certain parts of your hair a little straighter, just be sure to add heat-resistant oil to the hair to protect it from heat damage.
After smoothing your hair back, you can add decorative hair clips or bobby pins that blend into your natural hair. This will help keep the style in place all throughout the day.

This hairstyle is one of my all-time favorites, and the inspiration came from no one other than the great Beyoncé Knowles.
This fantastic singer and performer rocked her signature hair statement at the Met Gala Ball and at the red carpet of the Tidal X:1020 Concert. You too can achieve this chic look by following these steps:
Get The Look
Step #1
Start off by brushing and combing your hair out; you want to make sure your curls are free of tangles and knots.
Step #2
Then apply a generous amount of hair gel around the circumference of your hair
Step #3
Now gather your hair and use a tight hair tie to secure a ponytail on the top towards the side of your head.
Step #4
Take your weave track and wrap it around the ponytail making sure that the wefts are lying flat.
Step #5
Use a thick piece of the hair and wrap it around the ponytail to hide the wefts
Step #6
Now if you want to imitate the look just as Beyoncé did, use a curling wand to curl the remaining hair that is left out in the ponytail.

Messy Beach Waves
The messy bed hair look can be super adorable.
I usually know when you hear the term beach waves you think of the summertime or warm weather, but I just think about natural, breezy, free-flowing hair. As light and airy as this hairstyle may seem it can be very challenging for those of us who have super straight hair or unmanageable curly hair.

But I'm here to give you some tips on how to rock this awesome beach wave look for Valentine's Day.
Get The Look
If your hair is naturally straight and you want to try this look with a curling iron, it’s relatively simple.
Step #1
Starting in the back separate your hair into medium sections, and use a little heat resistant spray on to the parts of your hair.
Step #2
With each section, wrap the hair around your curling iron and leave it on for about five to ten seconds. Once that part of your hair is curly, proceed with doing this step until your whole hair is finished and curled up.
Step #3
Take your fingers and lightly comb them through your hair, this will make the curls appear lighter, and less tight.
Step #4
Tousle your hair around and finish off by adding a little finishing hairspray and now you have a spunky, cute beach wave look.
Beach Waves Without Heat
If your hair naturally has some waves to it, all you will need to do is add a little bit of curling moose.
Once the moose is added scrunch your hair up, and waves should start to appear.

Wet your hair

Next Braid back your hair, either in a Dutch braid, French braid, or a two-strand twist. You can leave it overnight or if you're in a rush at least for 30 minutes.

After your desired time has passed untwist or take out your braids, and your hair should now be in loose beachy waves.
This look is perfect for those of us who plan on staying at home and having a movie night with ourselves or another person. If you do plan on being by yourself, it doesn't mean you can't look cute.
Top Knot bun with bangs
Buns are adorable and sassy, but what's even better is that they can make any look worthy enough for Valentine’s Day.
If you don’t have bangs yourself, you can try this look with hair extensions. I will walk you through this one step by step.
Get The Look
Step #1
Brush your hair up into the spot where you want the bun to sit on top of your head.
Step #2
Next, you want to make sure you slick down those edges and baby hairs. You want everything to look smooth and sleek. *tip* You can use a blow dryer to dry any gel that is on your hair faster.
Step #3
Add your hair extension to your hair that is already put up into the ponytail. Once you wrap it around, make sure to take a small piece of hair in the extension and wrap it around the wefts so they will not show. Continue with turning that ponytail in too a messy or neat bun.
Step #4
Once the top knot part is done, it's time to move on to your bangs. You will need another hair extension, and you will wrap this track in the opposite direction you did with the ponytail.Step #5
When the weave has been wrapped around, secure with bobby pins. The hair that is left out from the track will be your bang, all you must do is decide how much of it you want to be left out for the bang, and the remainder hair you will add into that top knot bun.
Step #6
Lastly, once you have the designated hair that will be your bang, go ahead and cut, and style it into place.
There you go! A triumphant and banging top knot bun that is perfect for this Valentine's Day.
Low Ponytail with Styling Clips
The classic low ponytail, with just a dash of spice.
Okay, so this is one trend that has been taking storm lately. I, for one, am so in love with it. It's also a simple look that only takes seconds to accomplish.
Get The Look
All you’ll need is a rubber band or hair tie, and a couple of stylish hair clips.
Step #1
You want to part your hair down the middle using a fine-tooth comb.
Step #2
Slick down the sides of your hair with styling gel and brush down smooth.
Step #3
Grab your rubber band or hair tie and create a low ponytail.
Step #4
Now, add about four stylish hair clips to each side of your hair.
Step #5
Finally, lay down your edges for a nice neat look.
This hairstyle is great for when you're in a rush, or if you may have taken just a little extra time picking out the right outfit to wear.
