Top 5 Curly Virgin Indian Hair Hairstyles & How to Achieve Them!

It’s Time for a Change

Sometimes changing the smallest thing about us or in our routine, can make us feel like, in a way, we are progressing as a person. This progression could mean getting a new haircut, trying a new lipstick, taking a short vacation or eating at a new restaurant. Regardless of what you do, the purpose is to get out of your comfort zone and potentially get into something new that you may end up liking. Have you ever gone through something significant in your life and changed your hair dramatically because of it? Maybe, this is just in movies, but I’m guilty of doing so! Sometimes when we, as women, want change or are expecting change, we change our hair as a result.

Curly Hair is Winning!

This year is the summer that you should experiment! Switch up your look and try new things! You all know what I’m talking about, hair of course, what else? Specifically, it’s time to get on the curly headed wave. That’s right! It’s getting closer to summer, so trade in those straight bundles for something a little more fun to play around with all the time! Curly hair is fun, versatile, manageable and overall cute on anybody who wears them. Think about it, have you ever really seen anyone who couldn’t pull off curly hair? Most of us are born with it anyway. So, why not go for it? When it comes to purchasing bundles, most women (or men) hesitate when buying curly hair. Why is that? Curler hair has a negative connotation with being harder to work with and harder to style. I guess that is the ideology that invented perms. Contrary to what you might believe about curly hair, it does not have to be hard to work with at all. Its versatility makes it a wonderland of endless styles you can achieve with it. So, why don’t more people want to style their curly extensions when they have them? Well, this is mainly because most people don’t know what it takes to design curly hair, so they don’t attempt to out of fear of looking ridiculous as a result. We have to get rid of this negative stigma, so today we are going to talk about one of my favorites at Private Label Extensions, Curly Virgin Indian Hair.

What Is Special About It?

There are three things about this hair that makes it stand out from the rest, and it is all in the name. Curly, virgin and Indian. The fact that it is natural hair means that it hasn’t been chemically processed in any way, which would disturb the hair’s clarity and durability. The strength of the hair is maintained and balanced. Therefore, you’re able to make it last longer and manipulate it more times than you would with non-virgin hair. With non-virgin hair, the hair possibly had some chemical changes done to it for whatever purpose the vendor saw fit. But, this choice makes it harder to manipulate the hair, because you don’t know what types of manipulation will make it act a certain way. What do I mean by that? You don’t want to be in the middle of bleaching and dying your bundles blonde, and then the bundles end up green. That makes for unnecessary frustration. The fact that the hair is Indian is especially important. The hair industry values this hair, sometimes more than other types, because of its high-quality aspects. The hair is naturally light, airy and easy to style. It is a favorite type of hair because it is known to keep its natural wave pattern no matter what, not shed so quickly and not tangle so soon. Indian hair is thin textured. But it is known to be the most versatile type of bundles on the market! You can’t beat natural versatility. This fact makes it easier for you to style and manipulating as many times as you see fit, as long as you know how to take care of the hair. It blends so well with most hair textures, because of its natural ability to be curled or straightened. Indian hair can range from being silky to slightly coarse. It barely needs any product at all to do what it naturally does! Do you see why we need to use this type as an example now? Let’s talk about the last aspect, curls. The hair has beautiful and bouncy curls that fall gently over your shoulder to accentuate its definition and overall grace. This hair has a type of elegance and class to it while still keeping it fresh and edgy at the same time. It’s the perfect hair to wear for whatever occasion and would especially look great as a wig, but that is a topic for another day. What it all comes down to are the curls themselves. How soft are they? How long do they last? Will they bounce back if I wash them? How frizzy can they get and can I prevent it? Most of these questions, you can answer from merely reading the last two paragraphs before this one. If you are still not sure how to answer these, try them for yourself!

Styling Time!

We’ve discussed why the Curly Virgin Indian Hair is the perfect hair to style this summer, but we haven’t gotten into what styles we can achieve with this hair and how. Fear not! Let’s get into that, right now!

Half-Up/Half-Down

This style is one of my favorites because no matter what, anybody can do this and pull it off! The half-up, half-down hairstyle is simple to achieve and will look even edgier because the curls will make the style pop out even more. What You Need: Rattail comb Ponytail holder Edge brush Paddle Brush (optional) Bobby Pins (optional) Hair Clamps or Clips Edge control Step 1: Part your hair from the tip of one ear and follow the path all the way to the next one. # 2: To keep the bottom portion of your hair out of the way for when you begin styling, clip the bottom part down. Step 3: This next step depends on you. If you’re going for more of a sleek texture look where the ponytail would be bursting out all of your beautiful curls at the top, then you can use a paddle brush to slick back your hair. If you are going for more of a messy look, just pull all the top part of your hair back. 4: Tie off the top part of your hair using a ponytail holder and adjust the falling curls to your liking. 5: Take the clip away from the bottom portion of your hair and adjust those curls to your liking, as well. 6: Take an edge brush (or toothbrush) and lay down your edges the best way you know how using your edge control. My hair is mainly kinky, so I like to use Gorilla Snot or Eco Style Black Castor and Flaxseed Oil Styling Gel. Step 7: Use a scarf to tie up your edges, wait the allotted time to take the veil off (up to personal preference) and congrats! You just completed your first and most natural style to achieve this summer using Curly Indian Virgin Hair! That wasn’t so bad now, was it? For any stray hairs, use bobby pins!

Crown Braid

The crown braid has been making a significant comeback in these last recent years, and we are all here for it! This chic look is perfect for any special occasion or even on the regular! For those who don’t know how to braid, replace it with a massive twist instead! What You Need: Edge Control Edge Brush Holding Spray Clips Step 1: Lay those baby hairs down, FIRST! You’ll think me later. Place a scarf on your head and leave it on. Step 2: Part your hair the way you did in the half-up, half-down look, but this time add another part down the middle of the bottom portion of your hair and clips everything back for now. Step 3: Starting on either side of the new part you created, begin cornrowing from the middle of your head towards your ear and continue to the front. Use a comb if you believe you need it and keep braiding around the perimeter of your head, picking up all of your parted hair, until you reach the back again. Step 4: Measure where you want to pin up your braid and pin it up!

Ninja Bun

This style is relatively new but cute and functional! You have to be daring and different to want to try this look, so go ahead! Be different! The ninja bun is sweet and simple, yet elegant! This look may need extra attention for it to come out right, but it’s worth it! What You Need: Eco Style Gel Paddle Brush (or any brush) Ponytail Holder Bobby Pins Step 1: Brush your hair, using Eco Style Gel and brush it up into a sleek ponytail. Hold the ponytail secure with a ponytail holder. Step 2: Create a bun with a section of hair from your ponytail. Step 3: Once you have your bun, section off the hair in the ponytail into two sections. Twist the parts you created and then twist them around each other, stacking on top of the bun. Secure with bobby pins, and you continue to do this. Step 4: Make sure the bun is nice and tight and that you continue to twist the hair by itself as you wrap it around your bun. Step 5: Secure any loose ends!

Messy Low Bun

The messy low bun has been around for years, but recently it has been making airwaves more than usual. Maybe this is so, because of its functionality and overall easiness. You Simple, cute and comfortable to do! Let’s get started! What You Need: Eco Style Gel Ponytail Holder Bobby Pins Step 1: Start with doing your edges. Pull out all the stray curly hair you want out of your bun, to add to the messiness of the look! Step 2: Pull your hair back into a ponytail and proceed to create that ponytail. Step 3: Turn the ponytail into a messy bun, and there you have it!

Dutchess Braid

This look will never go out of style! It’s cute, different and will turn heads everywhere. You will look like you stepped out of a fairy princess storybook when wearing this look! What You Need: Eco Style Gel Paddle Brush (or any brush) Ponytail Holder Bobby Pins 1: Part your hair down the middle, or with one side having more hair than the other. 2: Cornrow both sides of your head down to the back of your head into a low ponytail. 3: Combine the braid at the bottom of your head and braid them both together to create one twist or braid. Braid all the way down until you have no hair left! Step 4: Secure the base of the long braid at the top with a ponytail holder and then do the same towards the bottom at the end of the twist or braid. Step 5: SLAY all day!

Working Together for your Good

These styles you can achieve using Private Label’s Curly Virgin Indian Extensions, all work together for a specific purpose. That purpose is to make sure you are slaying the entire time with no doubt in your mind that the hair will last you as long as you can manage to take care of it! Take a chance and try out something that has you a little nervous. Being afraid is a good thing if it’s not hurting you or anybody else. Get out of your comfort zone and go for it! 2018 is the year for positive energy and good vibes. If you’re having a hard time recognizing in what areas you need to make a change, why not start with your hair? It could make you think of other ideas, in the long run, that could also be beneficial to you.
