Try to build a big following on your personal and business page, use yourself as a model.

When you are on a smaller budget and running a business, promotion is, but that does not mean you will always need a ‘brand ambassador‘; start off being your ambassador, wear your extensions line and keep your hair looking flawless.

Being your ambassador will serve as a means of walking, talking promotion. You know your product best, and you are about your business most, so lace yourself in the hair, carry around business cards or have your website pulled up on your phone consistently, and be careful to brand yourself positively.

There are two plans you need for a successful hair business: a solid business plan and an emergency plan.

A business plan outlines the purpose of your business, goals, ways to reach your goals, potential funds, and resources. Your program is an outline of everything you will need and do to run your hair business smoothly.

    This is a great article! Having a business is work and can be costly at times it is better to start off small then work your way up. Sometimes it seems as if advertising on Facebook and other platforms don’t work, but in reality, it does get your business name and image out there. Dropshipping is a way to go while on a budget, and it helps you focus on growing your business and other things. Like the article stated you don’t have to spend a lot to get your business off the ground. With so many no to low cost resources out here you don’t have to pay thousands when you just start out. Just reading these articles have helped me learn and grow while trying to build my business up, and I really appreciate all the knowledge you all provide! Canva is a great tool to use and add your own personal touch to your creation!

    I am glad to say that I’ve been using some of these tips for my business as well. Consistency is key!! Making sure you stay within your budget is important because you never know what will come up, and believe me things will come up when you least expect it. What I’ve found to work for me is keeping a record of ALL purchases. This ensures that every penny is accounted for and keeps your organized.

    This was much-needed information. I just recently discovered Canva and will be using it to create different flyers. Promotion and marketing are key in business and I’m learning how to keep my followers interested and engaged. But where do I find an influencer for $10 to $15 bucks those prices seem extremely low. I’ve noticed a few people say they have issues with youtubers but I believe if they can’t sign a contract and agree to terms then that is not the youtuber for your company.

    Running my business on a budget is exactly what I am doing. This article was very helpful, especially because I am a college student. I had no idea that Fiver had photographers to take pictures if you can find them in your area and Fiver is normally very very cheap. With me being a college student I chose to do drop-shipping to start out my business which is very cost effective for me. Canva is like my best friend when it comes to graphic design, I make my flyers, Instagram and Facebook post from Canva. Also, I use Instagram to do my business ad’s for as low as $5-$15.
