Clip-In Wedding Hair!

Let’s start with some of the simplest extensions. Which ones are we talking about? We’re talking about the clip-ins. Clip-in extensions are exactly what their names say. The clip-in. Now, there is a bit of a technique to doing this. You can’t just randomly stick them in there and expect them to be perfect. They take a little bit of work.

Do

With clip-in extensions, the first thing you want to do is make sure you find the right style and color for you. If you have blonde hair you want to find one that is close to your natural color. If you can’t find one that matches your color exactly, believe it or not, you can go a shade or two lighter or darker. By doing this, you can add multi-dimensional tones to your own hair and create the perfect look for you. Our clip-in hair extensions color very well if you know how to do so. Contact your stylist or get some coloring tips if you want to try and experiment at home.

Do Not

A big don’t when you’re looking for the right clip-in, is ordering them right before your wedding.

Nothing related to wedding planning should be the last minute. There are a couple of reasons for this. One, if you were to order them online you run the risk of them not showing up on time. Even with the lightning-fast shipping of Private Label Extensions you never know if your package will be the 1 in a 1,000 that the post office loses.

Two, they very well might not look exactly like the picture on your screen. You can't really hold up your hair to the screen for a perfect match. Third, you might not have enough time to replace them if they just don't work out.

Ordering clip-ins from a reputable company like Private Label Extensions can relieve a lot of hair anxiety. Give your stylist plenty of time to work and experiment with the extensions.

It doesn’t bode well for a bride to be upset on her wedding day.

Installing Clip-Ins

When applying for clip-in extensions, do make sure your hair is clean, dry, and completely tangle-free.

If your hair is full of tangles it could make styling the clip-in a bit more difficult. Make sure you follow the directions completely. They may seem simple, but if you’ve never done them before, they can become quite difficult and exhausting.

If you are purchasing your extensions (no matter what style) and doing your hair yourself make sure you use 100% real human hair clip-in extensions. This is important because if it is real human hair you can style, wash, color, and even cut them just like you can your natural hair.

We don’t offer synthetic extensions or recommend them. If you buy synthetic extensions, be sure to read on the package if you can use any kind of heating tools on it. A lot of the time synthetic hair cannot withstand heat, though there are some brands that can.

Now concerning your wedding day. Be sure you have a good example of what you want your style to look like. At the very least make sure the person or persons doing your hair have knowledge and know-how when it comes to extensions. Again, we wouldn’t want you to go into a beauty shop and come out looking worse than what you went in.

Installing clip-in extensions is not really difficult but make sure you have done it a few times before your wedding day.

Why Clip-ins For Your Wedding?

You’re not exactly sure why to get extensions for your wedding day hair. You know your hair is not long but why should you use them? There have been studies that prove when someone feels good about their hair, they feel good about themselves. By using extensions—even if it is just for your wedding day—you are giving yourself that extra little boost you may need. Every bride wants to feel beautiful for her partner. If you’ve got long hair but it’s thin and/or baby fine, extensions can be a great way to boost the volume. By doing this, you are giving your beauty shop artist a blank slate to work his or her magic with. Make sure they know what they are doing, though. Another benefit of extensions is obvious. Length. Hair extensions come in all manners of lengths, colors, and styles. If you’re one of the women we mentioned earlier that has difficulty growing long hair, then adding the length on your wedding day could be perfect. During your planning make sure to research different hairstyles for your wedding day hair. It’s important that you take proper care of your extensions. If you have chosen to use the ones that are a little more permanent—not clip-in---it’s imperative that you learn the tricks to taking care of them. Our extensions allow for you to treat them like you would your normal hair, however, this isn’t the case with most of them.

Maintaining Clip-Ins

Extensions require maintenance. If you chose the ones that are a little longer-lasting, make sure you schedule a time to where you can visit the salon for the proper up-keep. There are some things that you need to consider while getting hair extensions. While they are designed to be a part of your hair, they are not. They take a bit of getting used too. The feeling of something foreign in your hair may be a bit irritating at first. So if you’re getting hair extensions that are anything other than clip-in (not saying those aren’t a bit irritating as well) it is best you get them before your big day so you can get used to them. As we said earlier there are different types of hair extensions. The synthetic option is cheaper but keeps in mind, they can also appear cheaper. The all-natural human hair extensions are pricier but also look and feel much better. Don’t rush in to get whatever’s cheap. Make sure you do your research. The only extension that will be okay to use without a test run is the clip-ins. However, just be sure you go to someone that knows what they are doing. We know we’ve said this before but it bears repeating. Going to the wrong person can truly ruin your wedding day hair.

Make Sure to Test Wearing the Hair!

When using other types of extensions, it is always better to give them a trial run. There are a couple of reasons for this. One of the most important is it is a good way to make sure you’re not allergic to the glue or tape that is used when securing them to your natural hair. Although not common, people can have allergic reactions to tape and glue. If you have too much itching, burning, or pain near the spots where the extensions have been applied, it’s best you return to the salon and have them take a look. Your wedding day hair should be full of love, laughter, and joy, not pain, misery, and scratching.

Consider Hair Weight

Make sure you get used to the weight of your luxurious new mane. Our in-stock clip-in extensions have a total weight of 140 grams. This is a great start and should not be too heavy for most applications. That’s the right weight. No woman wants extra weight on her wedding day, however, your hair might be the only exception to that rule. If you’re used to thin, short hair, then adding length and volume can come with a bit of a headache, and we do mean that in the literal sense. Adding extra weight to your head, especially if you’re going to have an updo can cause your scalp to ache and it could even bring on a headache. So be careful of how many extensions you use. Too much weight can be a literal pain in the neck.

When getting extensions, don’t get ones that feel unnaturally heavy. If they feel this way, then it is probably not a good idea to use them. Not only will the be uncomfortable, but they could do some significant damage to your natural hair. This includes clip-ins. They can tug and pull the natural hair at the root and in some cases leave behind some pretty bad bald spots. If it feels too heavy in your hand, then it’s too heavy to go on your head. Your wedding day is all about a new life and a new beginning with the person you love. You shouldn’t have to stress or fret over the looks of your wedding day hair. Using extensions can give you the boost in confidence you need as well as the picture-perfect, fairytale wedding you have always dreamed of. Remember. It’s your day. It should be perfect.
