8 Reasons Why Wigs Are the Best Protective Style!

Wigs for the Win!

I have to be honest, I’ve always been interested in wearing wigs especially since making several custom units for my clients.

You have to admire how natural they appear once placed on the head. Now that wigs have become go-to for women I may have to step my game up and become a part of the trend. We can all agree that every woman is different and while some prefer to wear their hair, others like the convenience of wearing a wig.

Some like to wear their hair in a particular hairstyle while others want to keep them guessing by being versatile. Some are committed to being in the shop every two weeks while others save every coin. These are just some of the reasons why women decide to become a part of the wig movement, and I’m here for all of it! So let’s chat.

Below are my reasons why I feel wigs are the best protective styles, but you may have some too. Please feel free to leave a comment below and let us know why you are a wig lover!

Wigs are Convenient

I must agree. Can you imagine waking up every morning applying heat to your hair?

Or not knowing what to do with your hair? It can ruin your day! For my wig lovers, their hair is braided, scalp treated and they can wear any wig they desire. The best thing about it is if you want to use an adhesive, something simple like Got2B Glued you’re able to apply and go in no time.

If you prefer using tape, I would recommend bold hold lace tape.

I’ve personally used this product on a couple of my clients, and they loved it. Every month I would make an appointment for my client to come back so I can fix any issues with the frontal. Most importantly it’s easy to remove by using 91 percent alcohol.

Using a clean washcloth with alcohol place in the areas where the tape is.

One tip that I would say is to make sure you don’t pull the lace because you don’t want your hairline to become damaged.

Wigs Offer Versatility

Have you ever woken up feeling like a different person? Felt like your name should be something else?

Well, you can name that wig and become that person! Monday through Thursday you may want to wear something simple but makes a statement. Fridays are casual so a curly unit will do the job. For the weekend bring out the colors.

Honestly, wigs bring out the personality, and people will start noticing you
because you have different looks every day!

Bye Flat Irons!

I have to admit I love my flat irons.

I may have about 25 in my closet in different shapes, sizes, and colors. Although I’m a relaxed beauty (I’ve been transitioning to become a natural beauty for two years) I’m not sure if I’m strong enough to walk away.

However, if you’re tempted to add heat to the hair, you can always use a heat protectant. It’s important that we keep our natural tresses healthy because there may be times when we want to wear it out.

I need to take my advice, stay away from heat because it doesn’t do a body good LOL.

Wigs are Low Maintenance

I live to do NOTHING to my hair. Do you feel the same way?

I’m sure you do. Listen, start the morning off right by blasting your music while picking out the outfit of the day, eating breakfast and applying your makeup.

Every woman dreams. I consider curly hair as less stressful because it’s a wet, shake and go texture. There are so many different hair textures when it comes to curly hair.

Some people aren’t sure what their hair patterns are so as an example I will use pictures from the Private Labels Hair Extensions website so you can determine if your Type 2 wavy hair, type 3 curly hair or type 4 coily hair.

Different Hair Types

Private Labels Type 2 Hair

From the extensions that I’ve mentioned and the pictures that I’ve provided, type 2 is wavy hair.

When purchasing extensions if your hair has a slight wave I would recommend the loose wave extensions. If your texture is more of a wave which is slightly tighter than a loose curl I would suggest the body wave or the Vietnamese natural wave hair extensions.

If your texture has more of a curl, then I would recommend the curly virgin Indian hair. Can the Private Labels hair extensions be colored, straightened and go back to its natural curl? YES! How do I know because I’ve used the extensions on several clients and I haven’t received a bad review yet.

Are you worried about blending? You shouldn’t because if you purchased the extensions that are the same or similar to your hair pattern the blending should fall right into place as soon as you begin to style.

loose wave bundles hair

Private Labels Type 3 Hair

Let’s look at the pictures provided for type 3 hair patterns.

I listed the hair extensions that I recommend for this hair type the word “wave” can be a bit deceiving. Make sure you look at the pictures that I provided so you can see why I choose that texture for this hair type.

A lot of clients asked me if they could straighten that hair and the answer is yes. I had a client who tried it, and I was nervous that they hair wouldn’t go back to its pattern, but it did.

As always you can this hair can be colored and you can have this hair for more than a year with proper care.

spanish wave weave

Private Label Type 4 Hair

Let’s look at the pictures I provided for type 4 pattern.

As I mentioned in the last paragraph, I’m giving you an idea of what I think may blend well with this texture. For the Brazilian kinky curly hair extensions, let’s think out of the box for a moment.

Type 4 pattern is more of having an afro with tiny curls. Using the Brazilian Kinky Curly extensions can be used for a sew-in or just adding a few pieces as long as you unwinding the curl. By doing so, you will be able to blend your natural hair with the extensions if you decide to leave any hair out. For the natural beauties who’s hair is longer the Brazilian kinky straight is the way to go.

While being a vendor at an event a lot of women loved the texture and the fact that the hair wasn’t shiny and bone straight. They all wanted the same thing as something that would match their texture.

So if you are a natural beauty with thick long tresses with minimum curl the Brazilian Kinky straight is the way to go.

Hair Loss

I have two clients who are dealing with hair loss.

I can remember the pain in there voice explaining how embarrassed they are or depressed. As a stylist, I have to make sure my clients are confident no matter what their issues are. It’s my responsibility to provide different options and make sure they are comfortable with the decision. Depending on how severe the hair loss is some can cut there hair down, get a quick weave or get a wig.

Women are rocking the low haircuts these days honey, and they don’t have a care in the world as to what anyone has to say about it. Owning your decision shows that you have confidence. Sometimes we like to take it up a notch and add some color but if your taking medication, please consult with your doctor. Allow the doctor to read the ingredients in the hair color to make sure it won’t interfere with the color your considering.

Last but not least the infamous quick weave. Youtube is where all the action goes down if you’re doing this style. From the stocking cap to scalp treatment Youtube provides all the information needed to make the client feel FAB once her hair is complete.

shocked at shedding

Affordability

Saving a coin makes the day better. Wigs can be expensive.

A custom unit using a frontal, closure or a 360 can cost you 300 dollars and up. However, if the stylist who’s making the wig is using good hair and your taking care of the wig you can have it for over a year.

The wigs at the beauty supply store are a lot cheaper because they use synthetic hair, synthetic and human hair mixed and 100% human hair. Don’t get me wrong they have served a purpose, but are you saving?

saving money

Low Manipulation

Leave the sew-ins and the quick weaves alone and invest in quality.

If I weren’t rocking the Halle Berry, I would probably want a sew-in or a quick weave, but it’s important that we allow the scalp and the hair to breath once in a while.

Wash and condition your hair every two weeks. Also, make sure you do a treatment then go back to the wigs.

low manipulation

Live Life

If you are a person that never wore a wig but considered it I say just do it! Go to your local beauty supply store and try on every single wig in the store. Then purchase a wig from Private Labels because that’s where the quality hair is.

Ask questions, try colors, live a little. You never know, you may become a wig master once you get the hang of it.

I have been thinking about wearing wigs. I have made one a couple of times, and the wig looked okay considering I’m not a hairstylist. I was thinking about wearing a wig because of hair loss. It seems like sew-ins and quick weaves always pull some of my hair out. It’s not a lot of hair but I don’t like any of my edges pulled out! I use to wear my hair short like the Halle Berry and Toni Braxton and I loved it. I just haven’t decided if I want to go that short again lol. Charlie, you have given me something to think about with wearing a wig. Since I love to change up my look often because I get bored with the same old look I might need to invest in a wig. Also, it would give my hair a break.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Melissa,

So in my younger days, I loved me some long hair flowing down my back. I realized that as I got older I was tired of doing my hair. So I decided to cut my hair like Rihanna and Melissa I fell in love. I got tired of that style because being in the shop for over two hours was too much. I am a stylist and I hated to get my hair done. So I cut it all off and dyed it platinum blonde and I loved it so much. I have been wearing my boy cut for some years now. I make custom units as well and I always said that I was going to make myself one just to see what the hype is about. Haven’t made myself one yet because I just don’t want to deal with hair. So here is my advice to you beautiful go to a beauty supply store and try on synthetic wigs. You may find one that you like and they are a bit cheaper. See how you feel walking around the store with it on take your time! If you feel like wigs aren’t for you go back to your shortcut because that’s what your use to. Wigs are a good way for your hair to relax but when you have short hair your not doing much to it. Do what makes you happy don’t get caught up in the trend.

Please write me back and let me know what you decide. I am here to help you beautiful!Thank you so much for your comment.

I absolutely love wigs and I actually have not worn them much lol. just the fact that I have seen wigs change so many peoples life due to confidence levels, Illnesses, and even just when in a rush lol. Wigs helped my 14-year-old little sister who had to recently cut all her hair off due to her and my cousin playing in it and got glue and gum in it somehow I don’t know (kids), and she hated the fact she had no hair. Until she found out She was allowed to wear WIGS LOL. She went with crazy and now she’s just in love with them ❤️ wigs have more meaning than people think and they should be praised more often & People need to QUIT SLEEPING ON WIGS. I Wonder though are wigs given to people with illnesses paid through insurance? I always have wondered that because that would be great if there are programs like that.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi A’aron,

To answer your question yes, wigs are paid through insurance for people that have illnesses. I actually looked into that because I wanted to provide my service for those who deal with hair loss. Many people look down on wigs because they feel like it’s for older women, but as you can see the younger generation is taking it over! Like your 14-year-old sister. I can imagine how devastated she was when she had to cut all her hair, but we have OPTIONS and that’s a women’s best friend. Tell your sister to continue to wear her wigs in confidence and make sure she is taking care of her hair as well. Her hair is just as important than the wigs that she wears.

wow I don’t know where to begin I suffer from hair loss I have lupus and I know for a fact that Waste can be expensive I’ve been charged up to $400 I can also remember how when I did put heat on my hair constantly if fell out broke off and look really damage wherein wigs are more convenient you can change the colors styles and sometime she could feel different like you’re a totally different person I can relate 100% to this.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Rahimah,

I am so sorry that you suffer from Lupus, but don’t allow the disease to keep you down. The best thing about the hair industry is that there are OPTIONS. Depending on the stylist they can charge up to $400.00 or more especially if it is being custom made. Purchasing wigs from the beauty supply store work for some women because they can save a coin or two, but only you know what your able to afford when it comes to a wig. I am happy that you enjoyed the article. Thank you for commenting!

  4. Ashley True says:

I have personally really have loved the changes that have been made In the wig industry over the years. Although some people are still confused thinking that wigs are only for people who are bald, sick or older women. Times have changed completely and it is for the everyday modern woman as well. Provides such versatility convenience and can be very affordable. My issue was my hair was very sensitive and too much friction and would cause my Edges to be very thin. I couldn’t figure out if I was sick or what was wrong and I notice the friction of the wigs on my edges is what was causing all of the thining. So I did some research and found something called a “wig grip” that has changed my whole wig wearing experience for life.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Ashley,

So this wig grip, is this something that goes around the whole head to protect your edges? Did you try to use a stocking cap or maybe when you lace the wig on your head you leave your edges out? If I have a client that has weak edges I would leave her edges out as if she has a sew-in. This makes the style looks very natural and the client is happy. I am happy that you have found something that will protect your edges because we need those!

      Thank you for commenting.

  5. Chaka Holloway says:

I think wigs are a good protective style. It allows you to pay attention to your hair underneath it versus a weave. When you have a weave u can’t moisturize, clean or condition your hair like it needs too. It’s also better on your edges that are really weak and fragile.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Chaka,

I agree. When you have a sew-in you are unable to clean the hair, but with a wig, you are able to clean your hair and the wig. It’s a win-win situation.

  6. Asia says:

I remember being completely against wearing Wigs! Lol, the fear of it coming off in public. Lol, Now I love wigs. The versatility is the best part. I recently began practicing wig making. I’m getting Better and Better with every wig I make. I actually started wearing wigs because I did the big chop and I had to get used to seeing my head bald lol. It’s easier to put it on and take it off and care for you Hair the way you need to.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Asia,

You know that being BALD is in these days right? I have always had short hair and I promise you I love it. I have some tips that you can use to secure your wig. So make sure you purchase some clips and sew them to wig. You also use an elastic band which sits behind the head. Once that has been done you should be fine. I make custom units for my clients and I enjoy every bit of it. It can be time-consuming, but when you are really into becoming better nothing else matters right? Keep up the good work with your wigs beautiful!

  7. Teal Scott says:

This article was well written and gave tons if the good advice of proper hair maintenance under the wig which is often overlooked and neglected. I also like how she gave recommendations for each hair type. Can’t wait to use Private Label Extensions hair to make a wig.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Teal,

Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I wanted to make sure that the articles that I write are informative for the readers. I can talk about wigs all day, but we can’t forget about the hair that underneath the wig. Your hair is just as important as the wig. Your hair must be treated because there is going to become a time when you don’t want to wear a wig your hair must be healthy and your edges have to be there LOL. Some women forget about that because they can just go and buy hair from the beauty supply store. PLE hair is BOMB! You will not be disappointed. What texture are you looking to purchase?

      Thank you for commenting.

  8. Constance a says:

All point listed above were accurate. The best part about wigs is the versatility. I can be 5 girls in one week. I don’t have to dye bleach and damage my hair, I can just get a wig! Whether synthetic or human hair, wigs are so convenient. I don’t even remember life without them lol

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Constance,

Yes! That’s the best thing about having a wig you can choose who you want to be honey! LOL you don’t remember life without them? Not to worry because I am sure they will be around for years. I am curious to see what will come up next with the wigs.

      Thanks for commenting.

  9. Chandler Yarbrough says:

I love my wigs because it allows me to change my hair by the way I feel day to day. I’m fully natural and I feel it’s only so much you can do with natural hair. With wigs, I can change color and styles just like that.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Chandler,

You are right. Many women who are natural aren’t into going to get their hair straightened or colored. Your best bet would be the wigs so you won’t have to add any harsh chemicals to the hair. You are on the right track!

      Thank you for commenting

  10. Samantha Nicholas Marshall says:

I love wearing wigs ever since I decided to go Natural because not only does it save me time but its a great protective style. Wearing my wigs allows me to change up my looks whether its a night on the town with hubby or going to church I can determine how I want to present myself. Wigs is a quick fix for that person who does not have the time to get their hair done out they just can’t afford to do there hair every two weeks. I find that it makes life a little easier. My hair has grown a lot wearing a wig because am not always in it. There are no many different types and color and you can choose how it fits you as an individual as well as how it brings out your personality and character.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Samantha!

You are absolutely right. I don’t think people understand how hair can make you become a whole new different person. Depending on the color, weather and the day it’s just something about new hair that makes you feel more up to beat! Especially when you can save so much time in the morning getting yourself together. You have the right idea when it comes to changing up the look. You want to make sure that you are wearing the right wig on the right day at the right time!

  11. Yolanda Burton McDowell says:

I agree totally! Wigs are a Great option for a Protective Style. There are numerous reasons why this is so, however, more importantly to me as a Hair Extensions Specialist ..there are some individuals that Require Wigs as a Medical Necessity and because of that alone Wigs, Hair Pieces or Custom Units whichever you prefer calling them are #1 and If I could recommend anyone to Extensions I would suggest going that route first …why?? Because Wigs are detachable.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Yolanda,

I am a stylist and I have many clients that ask me to do custom units for them due to hair loss. Normally with my custom units, I make sure I measure the head because some of my clients are older and doesn’t have any knowledge of adhesives. Some doesn’t want to use adhesives they want to remove it at night. I am all for helping those who really need to custom units because that’s what we are here for to educate and make sure our clients have OPTIONS. Who doesn’t like OPTIONS? I’m sure that when your clients come to you they are trusting you to guide them the right way with whatever they may need at that moment. Kepp up the good work!

      Thank you for commenting.

  12. Meshala Clark says:

Wigs have been my saving grace towards healthy hair! I prefer lace closure wigs versus the frontal wigs because of the longevity and easy manipulation. Thanks to wigs, I have been able to retain the length of my hair as well! I definitely believe that every woman should have at least 1 or 2!on standby!

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Meshala,

Full lace wigs are better because you can do so much more with them such as parting them in the middle or on each side. With the frontal lace wigs, you can have versatility but you have to make sure the extensions don’t show. Yes!!! having a wig on standby is a must. Once you wear them they become addictive because like you said you don’t have to do much. Place it on your head and go. Isn’t that every woman’s dream?

      Thank you for commenting.

  13. Sakina says:

In 2018 I’ve finally come to better understand and appreciate wig. Prior it was this whole stereotype for me- like wigs are for grandmas. I don’t have that thought anymore.

The technology has improved so much and you can find some really nice ones.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Sakina,

You are not the first person that felt like wigs for older women. The younger generation has taken over the wig game that you won’t be able to tell if you’re wearing a sewin or a wig! I am happy to hear that you gave it a chance and love them as well.

  14. Domonique Munoz says:

I am loving the Wig takeover that is happening. As a natural hair stylist, this has pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and put myself out there more. It puts more money in my pockets and educates my clients on ways to give their hair a break from the heat and change up their look without compromising the integrity of their hair. Wigs today have come an along way and I’m excited to see just how far they will go.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Domonique,

I have to agree with you wigs have come a long way and I am looking forward to seeing where else it will go. It is great that you are educating your clients on how they can protect their hair from harsh chemicals.

      Thank you for commenting.

  15. Bria Davis says:

My name is Bria Davis and I am from Memphis Tn. I haven’t been into hair and hair extensions for the last 10 years. I have tried quick weave, sew-ins, and wigs. I can honestly say that WIGS are my favorite. I not only wear and make them but I refer them to 95% of my clients. Wigs are affordable all around. You don’t have to worry about paying to get it installed you simply put on and go. The maintenance on wigs saves you time especially if you’re a single mom on the go like I am. I never have time to do my hair how I really want. BUT THANK GOD FOR WIGS. They are versatile meaning the variety to choose from is huge .. curly, straight, wave whatever you want there is probably a wig out there for that is exactly what you want. Another reason why I love wigs is that they last for a long time with the proper care. Most of my clients suffer from hair loss so wigs are always my first suggestion for my clients who suffer. It allows their hair to actually breathe. Hair is braided to the back under wigs which allows the hair to grow. Another important reason to wear wigs is to try to stop damaging hair by using flat irons. Flatirons cause heat damage and without using them the hair can grow better . Wearing wigs save money!

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Bria,

Everything you said was on point! Wigs are a great way to save money, your hair and to help those who are dealing with hair loss. I make wigs as well and I always recommend a wig depending on the individual. Everyone isn’t ready for the wig life some are still stuck on the sew-ins are the quick weaves and that is okay. You have to prep those who are curious about them and eventually, they will want to try it out. It is important that we take care of our natural tresses and wearing braids or anything that pulls the hair can cause damage. You are directing your clients in the fight directions. Keep up the good work!

Issa WIg!!!! At first, I had such a bad outlook on wigs. I always so used to an older woman in my family wearing them (granny and aunties). 2016 I started rocking them myself. I will never go back to a sew in. Since going natural and making the big chop, I have been struggling with what to do with my hair. Wigs are life!!! I am able to treat my hair, allow it to grown all while still looking fly with a nice wig!!!

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Vontrice,

I have to agree with you on this one because when you think of wigs they do sound like something your grandmother or auntie would wear. Times have changed and these wigs are becoming better and better as time goes by. Wigs are life!! I wish I can wear them, but my time will come. You keep wearing the wigs and taking care of your hair.

Wigs are a great way to give your hair a break from all the things we do on a daily basis like perm, color, hot curls tight braiding giving your hair time to breathe my girlfriend lovesssss… Wigs she said she likes to take her hair off and and put it back on in the morning lol I usually do a quick weave for her but she really don’t care for sewin but now after looking at my new hair products I’ve been wearing and after waking up with her wig on the floor with her new boo I think she try a sew in now….

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Misti,

LOL! I promise I laughed the whole time I was reading this. I don’t know where to start! So your girlfriend loves her wigs because she likes her freedom, but now that she is dating she is going to get a sew-in so he won’t see the wig on the floor? Girl he better get with the program and love her and the wig! I am joking but listen just make sure you continue to look out for your friend whatever she decides to wear. I say stick with the wigs!

  18. Denise says:

Wigs for the win!!!!! I developed a love for wigs growing up and noticing that the ladies on my dads’ side of the family loose their hair(bald-headed) overtime so I made the decision that I’ll be buried in a wig!! Wigs are super convenient and I love how versatile I can get with them. I wear wigs so much that most people around me can’t tell if I actually have hair on my head lol. I love the versatility and how creative I can get with the different textures and also most important the protectiveness, my edges are still laying and no damage to my hair from heat or having to bleach it often. I wear wigs so much that the reactions I get whenever I do a switch up which I call (Black girl Magic) just gives me so much life!!!! Yes so call me “Miss Wiggy” I’m cool with that but wigs save dollars, time, edges, and maybe lives too.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Denise,

Yes, honey BLACK GIRL MAGIC is something that I can definitely relate to! Just so you know women are doing the big chop so if you ever feel like you are losing some hair, cut it OFF!!!! I have to agree with you that wigs are saving a dollar, edge and time type of movement! I think we all want to save a coin or two. I am not going to call you Miss wiggy because whatever you wear on your head is your business. The most important thing is no one knows because the wigs look natural BOOM!!!

      Thank you for commenting beautiful!

  19. April Wells says:

There’s NOTHING I mean NOTHING like a great wig. WIGs are my number one go-to protective style. Each one of my wigs has a different spirit. I love how I can change my hairstyle at the drop of a dime and with PLE’ s wholesale priced hair, I’ve been able to make and add to my collection without breaking the bank. I’ve made a PLE Brazillian body wave frontal wig, a PLE Malaysian closure wig, Vietnamese frontal wig ( MY FAVORITE) and a PLE raw Indian straight frontal wig. Next wig I’ll be making will be a PLE kinky Curly closure wig. that curl pattern is to die for and perfect for the upcoming warm weather. My main reason for choosing wigs besides wearing my real hair is because I fear to lose my edges. I see women all the time with thin or no edges. Since I’ve been wearing wigs (10 years) I haven’t dyed or flat ironed my hair in forever, my hair is so full and healthy. With wigs, I can create any style I want without damaging my real hair (especially hair damage and breakage). Some say using glue to apply frontals thin your edges, however I haven’t had that issue as I don’t apply glue directly on my edges. I use “Got To Be” (yellow container) and apply it right after my hairline ends. I use cream of nature to wash the glue off( which was seamless). Someone recommended that I use alcohol or hand sanitizer, I’ve tried it, didn’t work for me.

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi April,

There is nothing wrong with a wig, you are absolutely right! I must admit that PLE extensions are the best that I have ever purchased. My favorite is the Vietnamese hair extensions. The Vietnamese extensions have so much texture and the hair is so thick. My clients love it because the extensions look so natural once it is in there hair. The kinky hair extensions are great for the summer. They are very low maintenance. As for the edges, I know women who wore glue (not got2b glued because this is a gel). When it comes to adhesives women have to be careful. We tend to look at YouTube to learn how to do things on our own to save a buck or two which I understand, but when it comes to adhesive I would prefer for anyone to seek a professional. The got2b glued is a gel that can come off with water and alcohol. I have never heard of anyone using hand sanitizer. The got2b glued can be used on your edges because it was used as a styling gel. At the end of the day, you have to do what makes you comfortable when wearing or applying your unit. Anyone can give you their opinion, but only you know what works for you.

      Thank you for your comment!

I wore hair extensions when my hair was relaxed but I have favored wigs ever since returning to my natural hair. I like that I can protect it from manipulation and change styles without the stress of chemicals from relaxing and dyeing it. I also LOVE wigs in the winter when its cold. It’s better than a hat and more stylish!!

    1. Charlie says:

      Hi Nicole,

So many women are wearing wigs these days. I must say that they are becoming better thank sew-ins. Also, so many women are going natural that they no longer want to leave their hair out for a sew-in so wigs are the best choice. The one issue some women have is if they are going to wear wigs they want it to look as natural as possible which I totally understand. That all depends on where they are buying the wigs from. But yes wigs are in and are better than hats! I can agree with you on that LOL.

      Thanks for leaving a comment!

One of the main reason for wearing wigs is because of diagnosed with Lupus which can sometimes damage your hair……I usually switch between weaves and wigs whenever I please like take a break and don’t worry about my year much but I do agree bobs are the best because they are so versatile and easy to take of…..examples color, style and so one could just one could just throw on a wig and go without any fuss or fight especially one in my situation

Hi beautiful! I am so sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with Lupus, but honey Lupus can’t stop you from being FAB OKAY! I never dealt with a client who had Lupus, but from what I was told and seen it can be damaging to the hair. The best thing is you have OPTIONS and doesn’t that make you feel good? Your able to switch it up depending on how your feeling that morning! So keep doing you boo! I am sure you killing them with the versatility!

Wigs definitely for the win! Gone are the days when people were afraid to wear a wig. Now everyone owns at least 2 😂 My secret for wearing perfectly slayed wig is to add small wig combs or elastic band which makes it more secure and gives the wig a very comfortable fit. So if you were scared of wearing a wig thinking it would fall off worry no more. Start enjoying the versatility of wearing different styles every day. As this is a rapidly emerging hair industry.

GIRL!!! I am a nervous wreck when it comes to wearing a wig myself. I can make a wig for others and give them directions, but some reason I can’t put two and two together when it comes to myself. I am going to take your advice and wear a wig and wear it, proud honey! Besides adding the clips and the elastic band I may use some type of adhesive LOL! Thank you for the advice and thank you for commenting! I appreciate your feedback.

I agree with this, I personally am used to the straight hair look so it was a win-win for me. Underneath my wigs, my hair is natural and wearing wigs I don’t have to use heat when I want straight or curly hair I can just slip on a wig. And I don’t have to use harsh chemicals whenever I want to rock another color I can just throw a wig in different colors and styles, and in my opinion this is the best way to rock natural and on occasion where wigs for different styles

    1. Charlie says:

YES!!!! wigs are the best thing that has ever been created! Wigs are definitely a way NOT to use any harsh chemical to the hair. Also, your morning is so much easier, isn’t it?

      Thank you for commenting beautiful!
