Why prices differ
Six things that move the price
Two bundles that look identical online can differ by $200. These are the variables that account for it.
- Length
Longer hair costs more per inch
Price climbs steeply with length because long donor hair is rarer. Browse by length from 10 inch up to 32 inch hair to see the curve for yourself.
- Origin
Raw hair costs more than virgin
Raw hair is unprocessed and single-donor, so it commands a premium over virgin hair. Compare raw bundles against virgin bundles.
- Texture
Curlier textures use more hair
Curly and coily textures shrink, so you need more weight for the same visual length. Deep wave typically costs more per finished look than straight hair.
- Lace
Frontals cost more than closures
A frontal covers ear to ear and uses more hair and more lace than a closure. See the difference between our lace closures and lace frontals.
- Density
Denser wigs cost more
Wig density is how much hair is tied into the cap. Higher density means more hair, more labor and a higher price for the same length.
- Installation
Labor is separate from the hair
Every price on this page is for the hair itself. Your stylist bills installation separately. Find a stylist near you to get a quote.

How to price out your first set
Four steps that get you from a rough idea to an accurate number.
-
Pick the method first
Clip-ins, a wig, a sew-in and tape-ins all cost different amounts and demand different upkeep. Read types of hair extensions before you price anything.
-
Add installation
Ask your stylist for their install rate before you buy. If you do not have one, find a stylist who works with our hair.

Hair extension costs, answered
How much do hair extensions cost?
Human hair extensions cost between $33 and $296 per bundle at Private Label Extensions, and human hair wigs range from $39 to $1,437. A typical sew-in uses two to four bundles plus a closure or frontal, putting the hair alone at roughly $110 to $700. Salon installation is billed separately by your stylist.
How many bundles do I need for a full head?
Most full sew-ins use two to four bundles. Two or three is usually enough for lengths up to 18 inches; longer lengths and curlier textures need three or four because the hair shrinks and spreads thinner. Add one lace closure or lace frontal to finish the top.
Is a wig cheaper than a sew-in?
Usually, yes. Our human hair wigs start at $39 and are a single purchase, while a sew-in means buying multiple bundles plus a closure and paying for installation. A wig also needs no stylist to put on, which removes the labor cost entirely.
Why are longer hair extensions so much more expensive?
Why does raw hair cost more than virgin hair?
Raw hair is unprocessed and comes from a single donor, so it keeps its natural cuticle and pattern and lasts longer. Virgin hair is also unprocessed but may be blended from more than one donor. Our raw bundles start at $49 and our virgin bundles start at $33. The full difference is explained in our remy, virgin and raw hair guide.
Do your prices include installation?
No. Every price on this page is for the hair itself. Installation is a separate service billed by your stylist and varies by city, method and how much hair you are having installed. You can find a stylist who works with our hair.
Are these wholesale prices?
No. Every price shown is our retail price, which is what any customer pays. Wholesale pricing is a separate program that stylists, salons and businesses apply for. You can read how it works on our wholesale hair vendor page.
How much is shipping, and how fast is it?
US orders over $99 ship free. We ship from our own Atlanta, Georgia warehouse Monday through Friday, and orders placed before 12pm ET typically go out the same business day. Every order carries a 30-day return policy.
What is the cheapest way to get human hair extensions?
A human hair wig starting at $39 is the lowest total cost because there is no installation fee and no need to buy multiple pieces. If you want a sew-in, bundle deals lower the per-bundle price, and shorter lengths such as 10 inch or 12 inch hair cost considerably less than long lengths.
